ZERO Coalition (ZERO) and Sustainable Building Week (SBW) are combining forces to continue helping the Oregon sustainable building community advance sustainability in a way that leaves no one behind. Together, we will expand opportunities for education, advocacy, and collaboration to make sustainability more accessible and actionable
Both organizations have proven their commitment to sustainability in Oregon. By uniting under a shared mission, we can strengthen our collective impact and better serve the needs of our members, partners, and the broader community. Since 2017, ZERO Coalition’s efforts have ensured that the market conditions and regulatory frameworks are in place to advance equitable sustainability measures in the built environment At the same time,Sustainable Building Week has focused on providing education to break down siloed thinking and improve cross-disciplinary connectivity and collaboration that promotes sustainable practices and design across the city of Portland and beyond.
By uniting our strengths, ZERO and SBW will enhance both practical resources and long-term policy impact, expanding efforts to improve building energy performance, affordability, and climate resilience across Oregon.
Moving forward, Sustainable Building Week will continue to be an annual event. SBW 2025, October 6-10, will be co-hosted by both SBW and ZERO. Additionally, Sustainable Building Monthly will continue to host events at the PAE Deckony the second Tuesday of each month. ZERO will continue to advocate for equitable decarbonization by engaging directly in policy discussions, providing expert testimony, and supporting meaningful legislation through coalition efforts, letters, and public comment.
